Nancy Adams, Health Coach
Nancy is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. She is part of the first group of roughly a thousand coaches to pass the exam in September 2017. She is also a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and is certified in Reversing Cognitive Decline for Health Coaches, also known as the Bredesen Protocol. And, Nancy created the curriculum and teaches health coaching for Delgado Community College.
Nancy became a health coach because her parents both had a slow and difficult end of life decline. When Nancy started getting health challenges herself, she began researching causes and prevention. This led her to discover functional medicine, which led her to the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. As a former educator, with a doctorate in early childhood education, she felt compelled to share what she had learned about health. Nancy likes to focus on weight, based on her own struggles to lose, and on chronic disease. Nancy also co-hosts the monthly Functional Forum meetup for the New Orleans Functional Medicine Community
Nancy is passionate about helping others improve their health. Her private practice can be found here.
